Located in the central part of the medieval quarter of Girona overlooking Plaça de Sant Domènec cloister in Spain, this House called Alemanys 5 located within an original 16th-century construction. The property has been recently renovated by the architect Anna Nogueraand it's amazing
the design integrates old and new, traditional and contemporary elements: "The new production respects the logic of the structure to adapt to the new requirements. On the ground floor, from the main gate, leads to the vestibule and small rooms, on the first floor there is a House with an inner courtyard, the second and third floor instead host a House on two levels, with the downstairs bedroom and the living room and the kitchen upstairs with a covered terrace to provide a view. The project is organized around two axes which structure the floor. The scale has been moved to place it next to the lift, the space between the two directional axle lines. "This space is configured as the hinge that raises the whole plant," said Anna Noguera, architect of Alemanys 5.
