Open House Rome 2012
Open House is a simple but revolutionary initiative: once a year, for a weekend, open to the public with free guided tours, places of high architectural interest of the city, some of which are usually inaccessible. On the weekend of 5 and 6 May Open House will be held eventually in Rome. The event foresees the realization of guided one hundred sites of every epoch the territory capital, arranged for homogeneous areas can get there on foot or by bike. The designers of many contemporary buildings included in the guide program personally visits.
Open House Worldwide is an international organization with its headquarters in London, where the project was born and has twenty years ago, driven by a formidable success. Has independent offices in Europe, America, Middle East and Australia. London Open House each September opens the doors of 700 buildings and attracts more than 300,000 visitors. Active since 2002, Open House New York today has more than 185,000 attendance at each event.
