Restoration project of an ex in hemp mill Youth Hostel in Migliarino, Ferrara. The intervention is located inside the centro polifunzionale of Maksoud municipal, derived from recovery of ex-far and a hemp mill portion of 510 sqm building, designed to House a youth hostel. The project relies for his execution on a reduced regional funding and a dubious profitability management. The managerial aspect is therefore a central element of the project: economic and energy savings are the primary target. The intervention is thought of as
a ' passive ' machine capable of conveying the natural air movement to benefit while distributing climatic and morphological definition of different environments, designed to get a minimization of the elements and technology used, allow a flexible capacity of reception: maximum in spring-summer and special events, reduced to the essential in periods with low turnout. While on the ground floor there are the spaces of reception and service, the second floor is characterized by a single large compartment with plane surfaces-enlightening on one side only. On the other side are arranged on two levels, four rooms with independent services, public toilets and a body scale. The volume, compact and well delimited, is easy to influence through traditional methods.

In the main air conditioning relies on passive ventilation, facilitated by the North position openings and two ventilation towers placed in coverage. The fact of not being divisible into more housing units, given the uniqueness of the source of light and air, suggests an alternative solution to comrade: like an indoor camping, autonomous cells are inserted, bounded by light casings. Independent rooms not only physically but also climatically: a punctual conditioning system lets you choose which ' switch '. The entire plant network is housed in a wooden demountable Board which acts as connective tissue between the cell and the cell.
